Who is Behind The Math Guru® Series

Jalisa Wilson

FOUNDER, CREATOR, AUTHOR

A South Carolina native! With over 11 years of experience as a math tutor, I’ve helped countless students overcome their struggles with numbers. But I knew I could do more! I wanted to reach millions of students, not just a handful at a time. That’s why I created The Math Guru®, an interactive math series designed to make learning math engaging, accessible, and fun for all scholars.

I believe that every student has the potential to excel in math, but the key lies in discovering their unique learning style. My series incorporates multiple learning approaches: visual, auditory, and hands-on to ensure that every child can grasp concepts in a way that makes sense to them. My goal is to build confidence, eliminate math anxiety, and transform the way students experience math.

Through The Math Guru®, I am on a mission to empower young learners, helping them master math at their own pace and in their own way. Because when students learn math their way, success follows.

    Mrs. Charlotte

    MATH TEACHER AT THE MATH GURU® ACADEMY

    She is a Math Teacher at The Math Guru® Academy! She loves to inspire her students to become the best superhero vision of themselves. She loves to travel to big cities! She is a wife, and a mother of 2 precious children ages 8 and 13.

    Lucas

    SUPERHERO STUDENT

    Lucas is 8 years old. He loves being outside and playing sports. He plays football and basketball. Lucas did not like math at first.  He thought it was a waste of time. He thought math was extremely hard but since he met his teacher, Ms. Charlotte. He has grown to love math because she lets him learn math with objects and use The Math Guru® workbooks.

    Khalani

    SUPERHERO STUDENT

    Khalani is 8 years old! She loves shopping and singing with her mom. Khalani loves math and her teacher Ms. Charlotte. Khalani has become Ms. Charlotte helper by helping the rest of classmates who does not like math by coming up with catchy math songs. She also uses The Math Guru® workbooks to come up with new math songs.

    Emily

    SUPERHERO STUDENT

    Emily is 8 years old! She loves going camping with her family.  Emily thinks math is ok but she is good at it. However, math is not her favorite subject. She loves to color and draw. She loves her Math Teacher, Ms. Charlotte because she lets let learn math with coloring sheets and use The Math Guru® workbooks.
